The Eternal Quest
Since the dawn of civilization, humanity has embarked on the eternal quest of realization of self. This urge to know usually begins in the form of questions universal to every human being. Questions like: Who am I ? Why was I incarnated? What is my destiny? What is my true relationship to God? Is there a unifying Force in the universe? Are there higher and consistent laws that give order and direction, or do things occur in cycles?
Certainly you have asked yourself these questions in some similar form as you've looked back on your past or contemplated on your future. Chances are you first attempted to find the answers from someone or some study group outside your inner circle. The answers have been and always will be within you. As the ancient Asar once said, "Seeking and learning are in fact nothing but recollection." Hence the inevitability of you at some point in your evolution taking the journey into self.
Fahamme is the out-pouring of the great Solar Intelligence behind which is the Spirit of God. Understanding or Fahamme is both Culture and Religion. Culture is Religion and Religion is Culture. THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE
"All life is suffering," said the great mystic Budda. He was referring to life's constant challenge of overcoming obstacles that stand in the way of creating a better family life, developing a successful career, securing spiritual needs, maintaining one's health and even coping with death. This eternal struggle should not be cause for despair, for it is through successfully overcoming challenges in life that you evolve.
The key to successfully meeting these challenges and the purpose of the Fahamme teachings is to learn how to find the answers within yourself. Inspiration, energy and even specific answers to all challenges of life are available when one learns the proper techniques of Civil and Divine Understanding (Fahamme).
Many mistakenly think that embarking upon an inner quest requires removing themselves from the challenges of worldly concerns and ascending to the proverbial "mountaintop" to discover who they really are. While this helps to get in touch with certain aspects of the inner self, the real challenges of life remain to be faced.
THE LOST SELF
Almost from the time of birth, we begin hiding our inner self away in order that we may adapt and survive in the outside world. Society as a whole is geared towards this end, our families and peers teach us socially acceptable behavior. Our educational system teaches us language, mathematics, science - the technical and social skills we need to sustain a material life. As adults we are thrust into a society of business and government geared towards materialism and maintaining the status quo. One generation produces another and the cycle of focusing only on the outer world continues.
Rarely, especially in the early, formative years, are we taught inner development; with an emphasis on subjects such as intuition, the subconscious mind, independent thinking, self-esteem, self-confidence, psychic or inner spiritual growth. Is it any wonder that the inner self becomes lost!
The unfortunate result is that most human beings occupy commonplace positions in life, never attempting or accomplishing their real desires because they are unable to hear or unwilling to listen to the voice within - the voice of yearning to direct them to their real mission in life.
Yet, despite these seemingly insurmountable obstacles the inner self remains alive in everyone, and many are ready to heed its call. That is why Fahamme is in existence today and has been since 1919, offering people a way to realize their own infinitely powerful and divine nature.
WILL POWER FOR THE FUTURE
You should not be discouraged by outside forces that keep many from actualizing their inner-self. Instead, we invite you to consider the possibility of accelerating your own inner evolution. By working towards this goal, whatever unique talents you possess will be brought into prominence and matured, and it will not be long before you find ways and means of applying these abilities along lines beneficial to yourself and of value to the world. In this way you become the Will Power for the future.
What is this Will Power? It embodies the highest purpose of Fahamme which is: the personal responsibility to serve humanity in its evolution towards higher levels of consciousness. The work you carry out to this end, done in your own special way, will help secure a better future for us all. This is not only the hope for the future, but the Divine promise to those of us who follow the 42 Oracles of Maat.
